SCOTTISH Widows has an embedded value of £6.4 billion under European embedded value (EEV) accounting methods - £908 million more than was estimated under old methods.
The Edinburgh-based insurance arm of Lloyds TSB said new business profit before tax under EEV was £131m higher at £254m - reflecting the earlier timing of profit recognition.
