PLANS to boost tourism in the Capital are to be unveiled at one of Edinburgh's most famous landmarks.
The Edinburgh Tourism Action Group will release proposals at the Castle on Tuesday, at noon.

The group is determined to attract more tourists to the Capital next year in an effort to increase revenue from the industry by 5 per cent.

Tourism minister Jim Mather and ETAG's outgoing chairman Richard Jeffrey, will both be speaking at the event.

NO DOUBT THE GUY IN CHARGE OF THIS WILL KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT THE CITY OF EDINBURGH AND WON'T HAVE EVEN BE FROM EDINBURGH. NO SURPRISES HERE.

We need more direct international flights from Edinburgh.

-1 "THE GUY IN CHARGE" as you so loudly and ignorantly shout was, until recently, the managing director at Edinburgh Airport. He is also active within the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and has other interests in the city.
I have met him several times and can set your mind at rest that Richard does has a vague idea of where Edinburgh is.
Your last point is a stupid as it is crass. If a person is good at a job it makes no difference where he or she originates from.

Before they try to entice more visitors to Edinburgh; perhaps a WALK around various streets just off Princes Street would open their eyes to the amount of rubbish that still abounds on these streets.

If they would like to see it for themselves I am available to take them onto the streets of Horror!!!

I echo your observation.
Hamish B is always a man in a great rage about subjects he apparently knows nothing about. ;-)
