STAFF and children at a family centre have staged a one-day car ban in a bid to encourage people to consider the environment when they travel.
Children at West Pilton Children and Family Centre backed the 35 staff who boycotted their cars for the day and found alternative transport to work.

Lesley Manson, deputy manager at the centre – which has its own eco-committee – said: "Everyone has made a real effort and that's encouraging – tiny little steps can make a difference."
