A YOUNG man has been rushed to hospital with serious lower body injuries after becoming trapped in machinery at an East Lothian sawmill.
The 23-year-old was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with what police described as "crush injuries" after the incident at Windymains Sawmill, Humbie, at about 1.20pm.

The man, who was anaesthatised before he could be freed, spent more than an h
our and 20 minutes trapped in the machinery.

He was released at about 2.45pm and taken to hospital along with another man who was suffering from shock.
