CHRISTIAN DAILLY believes the return of Peter Grant to Celtic means Rangers will have to "up their game" next season if they want to retain their SPL title.
Die-hard Hoops' fan Grant, who played in midfield for the Parkhead side in the 1980s and 1990s, is first-team coach to new boss Tony Mowbray and his assistant Mark Venus.

Dailly said: "Peter was brilliant with me at West Ham and I think he will do very well at Celtic.

I think he could be a manager without any problem but he is made for a No.2 role. Peter was the bridge between the players and management at West Ham."

I thought Dailly was being entirely fair. Grant is yet another of the recent string of thugs made good as managers - Mowbray, Hughes, Grant and (almost) Butcher all seem to have renounced violence when they stepped off the pitch and onto the sidelines. Coyle is probably the best example of someone who could actually play turning into a decent manager too; there have been plenty of flops.

Utter hogwash from Dailly whose comments were obviously made after his half marathon.

Peter Grant won very little while at Celtic & its unlikely he'll improve on that record 2nd time around.

Im delighted Celtic have chosen this "dream team".

Lawell & Reid : Keep up the great work.
