ANTI-NUCLEAR campaigners waved placards outside the Scottish Parliament today.
Several anti-Trident protestors, including members of the Edinburgh Peace and Justice Campaign, stood outside Holyrood. They are set to be joined by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

Janet Fenton, of the Edinburgh Peace and Justice Campaign, said: "We just want to remind the new government that even though they don't know who they will be sharing power with, there are still people out there who feel very strongly about these issues."

The SNP campaign included an anti-Trident message.

Does anyone know how many lives have been saved because we have nuclear weapons? The super powers have been to the edge a couple of times, but they have always backed down. Why? because they know it would be madness to use them.

Is that not the point of a deterrent?
