POLICE are warning members of the public after a bottle of the heroin substitute methadone and a quantity of diazepam tablets were lost in the Capital.
The prescribed medication, which was in a carrier bag, was misplaced by a man either in the city centre or on a number 34 bus between 10am and 8pm yesterday.

A police spokeswoman said: "These drugs, if consumed, could be extremely harmful and if found the police should be contacted immediately."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131 or Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.
