POLICE today released CCTV footage of the last known sighting of a city businessman missing for one week.

Simon Kennedy, 32, called at a petrol station in Tibshelf, a village near the Peak District in Derbyshire, last Wednesday. He was travelling in his blue Ford Focus, registration N13 JSB.

He disappeared after visiting his parents' holiday home in Elie, Fife, that day and has not been back to his house in Royal Crescent since.

A police spokeswoman said: "We are appealing directly to anyone who may have seen or heard from Mr Kennedy in the week since he disappeared.

"His wife Julia, and family, want Simon to know they fully support him, and that his health and well-being are their first concern. Other people are taking care of the business."

Mr Kennedy is white, 6ft 2ins, medium build, with short dark hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information should contact Lothian and Borders Police.
