A MAN was assaulted and robbed of cash by a group of teenagers after visiting a casino.
The 19-year-old was punched in the face and threatened with a screwdriver before the youths made off with his £100 winnings.

The incident happened near a set of steps leading to Main Street, in Davidson's Mains, at about 10.45pm on Thursday. The man was not seriously injured, but was left extremely shaken.

The attackers are between 15 and 17-years-old, 5ft 4ins to 5ft 6ins tall and of average build.

The boy with the screwdriver was slim and 5ft 2ins to 5ft 4ins tall.

A police spokesman said: "We are anxious to speak to anyone who has any information that can help us track down these youths.

"In particular, we are keen to speak to the driver of the silver hatchback."

Anyone with any information should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
