EVENING News columnist Jennifer Veitch took a stroll down memory lane at the launch of her new book.
The publication is based on the popular Evening News Living Memories series.

And the book, which was launched at Ottakars on George Street, records not only the major events in the city over the past century, but also the everyday lives of the citizens of the Edinburgh area.

It is filled with stunning images from the newspaper's vast collection of photographs and offers a unique portrait of the city's changing face.

A glossy Living Memories 2006 calendar has also been produced, featuring twelve of the most insightful photographs taken from the book.

The book, priced £12.99, and calendar, priced £4.99, will be available from many retailers throughout the city, including Ottakars, Borders and Waterstones from November 1.
