Keira Farley, 29, from Leith, who is direct marketing manager for People's Postcode Lottery, picks her top five places for a spot of lunch with the girls.
1 Urban Angel, Hanover Street

Great place for yummy vegetarian food, pasta and risotto. Nice wine and cakes. Cool interior, too.

2 The Outsider, George IV Bridge

Best chocolate brownies in town – served with delicious dessert wine. This is a great place to share starters with friends, and visitors will like the view of the Castle.

3 The Olive Branch, Broughton Street

Good for breakfast and cups of tea. The burgers are pretty tasty too.

4 The Shore bar and restaurant, Leith

Great location by the Water of Leith – my favourite part of town. This quaint little place does great value food – two courses for under a tenner for lunch – and the food is delicious.

5 Englishman, Scotsman and an Irishman, Queen Charlotte Street, Leith

Easily missed, but a great find. Cool interior and good service. Great place to take clients at lunchtime.
