THE 2014 Commonwealth Games will provide a "huge benefit" to Edinburgh, according to the city's sports leader.
Councillor Deidre Brock said: "The successful delivery of the refurbishment of the Royal Commonwealth Pool, which will play host to the diving competition, will provide Edinburgh with an excellent facility of national importance."

Who's paying for the pool?
If it's Edinburgh citizens then you're damn right it should provide a big benefit.

"We know that improved facilities there [the RCP] are essential as part of Glasgow's Commonwealth Games bid, but we believe that because the bid is of national importance, that is an issue for the parliament to address"
