AIM chiefs go past £1m mark

BOARDROOM pay for bosses of Alternative Investment Market-listed firms rocketed for some chief executives to break the £1 million barrier for the first time.
The average pay of directors of smaller companies saw their salaries soar by 27 per cent this year to more than £174,000.

The ten highest paid bosses on AIM earned an average of £1.09m in 2006, including basic salary, bonuses and pension contributions.
