EDINBURGH MONARCHS have drawn a blank in their bid to sign a replacement for Thomas Jonasson in time for Friday's KO Cup quarter-final tie against Workington Comets at Armadale, writes DAVID KINVIG.
The Capital club will continue to use the rider replacement facility to cover for Jonasson, who quit Monarchs last week after announcing he was taking a break from his UK racing career.

While promoter John Campbell said today he hasn't given up hope of finding someone for Saturday's second leg at Workington, he admitted: "It is proving very difficult to find a candidate. We are talking to a few riders and, from past experience, if agreement can be reached it's simple to do a deal within the space of 24 hours. It's a question of waiting to see what develops."
