RUNNER Andrew Goldman gets down on one knee at the end of the Edinburgh Marathon – to propose.

Andrew, 27, from Kent, ran yesterday's race carrying the ring to spring on his unsuspecting girlfriend Gina Harrap at the finish line.

Doctor Gina, 27, accepted and said: "I initially thought he'd collapsed. When he pulled out the ring I just burst out crying."

Today's Vote

Are you happy about sports events taking over the city’s roads at weekends?
Yes, they bring money and fun to the Capital
No, they cause too much travel disruption
I don’t mind, but I think the number of events could be cut
