LEE WALLACE will return to Hearts' starting line-up against Hibs on Thursday after recovering from illness, however Ruben Palazuelos remains doubtful with an ankle complaint which sidelined him from the weekend defeat at Ibrox.
Manager Csaba Laszlo today reported good news on the health of his squad but remains concerned over Palazuelos, whose influence in central midfield would be sorely missed against Hibs. Wallace's availability would lend extra balance to a defence which had no natural left-sided player against Rangers.

The Spaniard is being monitored by Hearts' medical staff but Laszlo is not convinced he will be fit enough for the frenetic confrontations of a derby match. He will be given more time to prove his fitness tomorrow before the manager makes a final decision on his squad.

"I am not sure with Ruben. Maybe he can play next Tuesday against Aberdeen but he is doubtful for Thursday," said Laszlo. "Lee was close on Sunday but we did not want to risk his health against Rangers. He trained yesterday and I hope he is okay for Hibs."

Laszlo is also undecided over who will play in goal with Janos Balogh now fully recovered from a rib injury. Marian Kello, the Slovakian on loan from FBK Kaunas, has started the last two matches but the manager considers Balogh to be the club's first-choice.

"I have not decided about the goalkeepers," he said. "Balogh was injured and Kello had the possibility to stay in the goal. I will decide on Thursday. I don't think we lost the Rangers game because of any mistakes by Kello. We are a team and I won't accuse anybody in public.

"We must concentrate as a team over the next four games and then we have the possibility to qualify for the Europa League. We must look to take points, especially at home. We must take points against Hibs and against Dundee United, and away against Aberdeen. These games are very close together, Thursday, Tuesday and next Saturday.

"I think in these three games the (European] decision will be made. We must concentrate on keeping our position in the table."

Meanwhile, former Hearts winger Saulius Mikoliunas held tentative signing talks with Swansea City over the weekend and is waiting to see if a formal contract offer will be forthcoming from the English Championship club.

Mikoliunas, who recently severed ties with both Hearts and FBK Kaunas following a pay dispute with the Lithuanian side, visited the Liberty Stadium and met Swansea officials as manager Roberto Martinez looks to reinforce his squad for next season.

Stephen Dobbie, the Queen of the South striker, is another Swansea target and he is expected to sign a pre-contract agreement in Wales this week.

#8 I know.
We have nothing to worry about though, as the SPL has ordered all Hertz fans to wear a brown bag over their faces due to the massive complaints receieved by the TV watchdog.

Many viewers complained that the pictures shown on Sunday of the Hertz fans had terrified their children and were convinced that it was a movie channel showing scary movies.

The only strong smell at Tynie on Thursday night will come from visiting fans keeching their breeks.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you on this forum on Friday.

#13/15 Seriously - this is the same chat as yesterday. Calling our fans ugly is the act of an infant or possibly a pre-teenager. Do you actually find it funny? I'm not the least bit offended by it and i'm not sure what you're trying to achieve?
#7 Can't see Csaba giving Templeton a run when he's been using Tullberg, Nade and Elliot recently. That should be enough to see us through, especially with Driver and Wallace tearing down the wings. A comfortable 2-0 win i reckon.

Guys,

Let the Hamster and Levi get their "funnies" in now will you? Let's face it, come Thursday night I'm sure they won't have anything to laugh about and let's see if they turn up here on Friday morning. Have they sold their ticket allocation incidentally?
19

busbyfh,

05/05/2009 13:12:36
Casbah...............If Palaz cannot make it, no more Elliot in the hole (sounds like a sausage dish)with a huddy up top - CE to be up front with Bruno playing in his best position - helping the striker. That might leave a position vacant with a "twin" required for Stewart. - NOT BA and CE moved to innefectual positions. Who though ?
(We cannot take a chance again with Tullberg up front)

Robbie - playing an astute hand when negotiating his new contract......dealing with the management direct - no direct agent involvement. We all know Vlad hates agents so full marks to RN.

Brines - Best Hearts game I've seen involving this ref even though we lost. I usually give him pelters so kudos where it is due. (and replays show it wasn't a penalty before anyone says - no dive from Clum as per the commentators but the trip was not meant)

20 buzbomb,

You mentioned that there was a trip but it wasn't meant. I couldn't tell if there was contact or not BUT, even an accidental trip is a free kick so if there was contact it should have been a PK!

Is was very slight, but remember when there is a tangle of legs that looks as if it is not meant by either party a ref on many occassions gives no foul.
Example - the Barcelona Chelsea game last Tuesday.
24

busbyfh,

05/05/2009 13:36:44
I was being dopey earlier - With Lee W back we could have Jonsson in place of Palaz therefore leaving Elliot up front with Bruno just behind.

#22 Because i'm trying to work out the point of you being on here! Most people ask a question or make a point about the article - you seem to just write irrelevent comments and act like a child. If you are a child, fair enough but if you're a grown man/woman i think you need to get out more.
26

A Jambo come rain or shine,

#27 Whatever happens, we have to get Eggert out of defence. I've lost count of the amount of games where he's lost a header that has resulted in a goal. Anyone suggesting he could be a permanent replacement for Berra need to think again and if he's going to mark anyone in the box on Thursday, let it be Rankin!

What #1 is too stupid to realise is that a mask is only effective at preventing you giving the disease to someone else, not getting it yourself.

Hence he must be a carrier ;)

*********************Newsflash**********************
The SPL have written to Heart of Midlothian
demanding that the fans all cover their heads and
faces.

This is due to TV watchdog complaints regarding the terrifying images seen on Sunday's TV - many viewers have complained that the images shown on TV were not fit for children, and should be shown only after the watershed.

Several viewers have reported that the streets of some Scottish towns have hordes of children looking bewildered and mumbling to themselves all repeating the same phrase "Seriously ugly at Tynie, seriously scary at Tynie - please don't show that again"

I see the kids of both sides are at the ugly/smelly jibes
i wish there was a cresh forum for them. Hearts should be confident of beating us on Thursday but as both teams have seen in the passed form or being the favorite means nothing. However when Hibs get a point hopefully 3 how many hearts fans will be on these threads on Friday.

47# Thanks for the English lesson. I did not know that spelling, punctuation and grammar are so important to you However it is not to me. debate is what the threads are about not calling each other names like primary school kids. Banter or a bit of humor is good but calling people ugly or smelly is for young kids. i have made a few mistakes to give you something to keep you occupied mind you do the same on the other comments. This seems to bring joy to you.
