INVERLEITH earned a point from their fixture against Western earlier in the season but are hoping for more with the pair meet in hockey's Division 1A at Auchenhowie tomorrow.
The pair are locked on 25 points following third-placed Inverleith's 3-1 victory at Menzieshill and Western's 8-4 win at Clydesdale and the crunch clash signals a tough three-game run-in to the end of the season.
After Western, who are second, Inverleith entertain champions and current leaders Kelburne and complete their schedule against in-form Grange who are four points adrift of their city rivals.
Grange visit fifth-placed Menzieshill in Dundee and the Edinburgh side's confidence will have been boosted by a 1-1 draw with Kelburne and a defeat of Western.
In Division 1B, bottom club Edinburgh travel to second-bottom Aberdeen in a potential relegation decider. Second-placed Edinburgh University entertain pace-setters Hillhead while third-placed Watsonians host Dundonians Wanderers.
