Victory in crossings bid

TWO sets of pedestrian crossings are to be installed on a Granton road after years of local pressure.
Residents have long called for safety measures on the busy Lower Granton Road.

Councillors at the council's transport committee have approved plans to install two crossings, flashing speed signs and a reconstructed pavement at a cost of more than £300,000.
