BUDGET airline Ryanair has blamed a strike by workers at Boeing for a six-week delay in this month's opening of its new base in Edinburgh.
The low-cost airline claimed US plane-making giant Boeing was unable to deliver two 737 aircraft it purchased to operate on the new Edinburgh routes.

Ryanair's deputy chief executive, Michael Cawley, said: "We sincerely regret the postponementof the opening of our Edinburgh base."

Passengers who were booked on the new routes during the initial six-week period will be refunded over the next seven days.

Hmmm, Ryanair not living up to this, then...
