A MAJOR day of events has been planned to celebrate a national parks event in Leith.
Greener Leith has arranged eight bat boxes to be built for the Persevere Community Garden – an area that was transformed from wasteland to green space for locals.

The event, on June 21, is timed to coincide with Love Parks Week.

It is hoped the boxes will encourage more wildlife into the garden, which also recently had an orchard planted. Refreshments will be available.
