Boycott BP in future. £1.23 is outrageous

#3 I really wish everyone would boycott them and as for that garage in Fife I hope they go out of business as a result of their profiteering.

Lothian buses website is a shambles. I work for a large organisation and 90% of people use Lothian buses. We looked at the website and it said NO BUSES FROM FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING, trying not to panic my colleague logged in and the page had disappeared. On calling Lothian buses I was told the government are making no concessions for public transport.

I just hope loyal customers remember when their garage increases petrol costs taking advantage of this situation, and boycott them when everything returns to normal.

Great feature. Best thing I've seen on this website for years.

Please keep it after the strike is over - very useful.

Thanks

rediculous, why are prices shooting up even though there is plenty of stock? nice way to take even more money from us you ********

also boycott shell because they are only bringing in their v power unleaded which costs about 10p more a litre into their forecourts. as for that garage in kirkcaldy, they never get much business anyway but i hope they close down for what they did.

A responsbile piece of journalism EEN. Add fuel (if you'll pardon the pun) to the climate of panic-buying. Well done!
11

Daft Old Git,

25/04/2008 14:37:28
And there is panic in the States as they are now being charged 50 pence a litre with talk of it being over £1 a litre by 2012

Asda on way out to Fort Kinnard is £105.9 per litre today at 11:50am and if you use your Asda card you save 2p per litre. No line ups... no limits... no panic
18

LAM,

Edinburgh 25/04/2008 16:30:08
oops not £105.9 but 105.9 pence
19

Hmm ...,

25/04/2008 17:31:43
... Sainsburys at Bilston - unleaded at 105.9p and a chap "steering" you to the pumps as they clear the previous customer - at about 1.00pm there was a queue of two cars!

Well done, Sainsbury's!

The dump your in has zero character and vermin run the streets. Thats just the humans....have a nice life in that plague pit! Best here mate lol!
Park your cars and the problems solved. Far too many sados rely on these scrap heaps to get down to the corner newsagent two yards from their front door. Do some walking idiots and take the kard off your ass.

the days of final salary pensions are over - this is the reality of the situation and new workers joining the company should pay towards their pension, like i and many others do. Grangemouth workers - be realistic and stop abusing your position of strength.

#4 I agree lothian buses are not being helpful at all. In fact right now their site is offline - maybe they can't cope with the traffic. Some irony there.

Charles MN,

#22 Unless you work for BP or Shell who's pension funds are doing very nicely. Perhaps they are just run properly.

"Oil giant BP is the latest major company to announce it will make no contributions to its pension fund during 2008.
BP said the move followed its most recent annual valuation, which revealed that its pension fund was funded to 135% of its current liabilities. "

Hopefully motorists will remember those filling stations which decided to profiteer during a time of concern and leave them stuck with plenty fuel once things settle down again.

Check out this site www.petrolprices.com

It's normally a couple of days out, so won't be truly useful till this shenanigans is over.

Simply key in your postcode and fuel option - unleaded, diesel etc and get the five cheapest filling stations closest to you.

OR
Just key in Edinburgh for the town

Have fun!
30

hermione g,

leith 28/04/2008 17:32:28
Hamish G, how would you like it if someone said you should be sacked for making a spelling mistake (which has now been corrected)?

While we're on the subject, your use of punctuation and capital letters leave something to be desired.
31

Julian,

EDINBURGH 28/04/2008 22:29:27
Hamish B,

Yes, that's a logical conclusion. If someone doesn't know how to spell exactly all the areas and districts of Edinburgh then they must know nothing about the City.

Never mind calling for their dismissal. What about the sales assistant at Link Garage, Port Seton who couldn't say whether they had fuel available? Surely that's a more sackable offence;0)
