EDINBURGH is slipping down a UK league table for customer care for shoppers, a survey showed.
Last year Edinburgh came 29th for levels of customer care, behind Glasgow in 22nd position.
This year both cities have slipped. Edinburgh now ranks 36th - and Glasgow ranks 88th. Paisley is the only place in Scotland to make it to the top ten - in tenth place.
The figures come from a survey which involved nearly 84,000 "mystery shopping" visits to towns and cities across the UK.
Twickenham topped the table, followed by Leeds.
On a regional basis, Northern Ireland came first with a satisfaction rating of 81.9 per cent while Scotland, which came top last year, slipped to third place with just 79.9 per cent.
