CLIMATE change could lead to the traditional British package holiday to the Mediterranean being consigned to the "scrapheap of history", a report reveals today.
Rising temperatures and higher sea levels might mean holidaymakers going on very different types of break by 2030, the study for Halifax Travel Insurance predicted.

Popular destinations such as Majorca and Ibiza could become too hot and bucket-and-spade packages could be replaced by British holidays or health, sport and cultural breaks, it added.
