A TEENAGE girl who tormented neighbours with blaring music has been hit with an Asbo in a move aimed at giving residents a "well-earned rest".
Tanita Ramsay was accused of playing loud music throughout the day and night, as well as slamming doors and shouting and swearing at her home.

The 17-year-old, who lives in St Martins Court in Haddington, East Lothian, was given the antisocial behaviour order at Haddington Sheriff Court yesterday.

The terms of the interim Asbo prevent her from acting in a manner that causes, or is likely to cause, alarm and distress to others.

Councillor Stuart Currie, the councillor's community services leader, said: "Legal proceedings are only progressed when we have exhausted all other avenues and given the individual every opportunity to change their ways.

"She has chosen to continue making the lives of those around her miserable. I hope that the interim Asbo will offer the neighbours some well-earned rest."

We accept that 24hour a day China is noisy.Having said that. This young madam would be locked up immediately.Scales rise according to severity of the offending.
Guanzhi (Minor offences) 3moths to 2years
Juyi (Minor offences)Detention Home, may on good behaviour be allowed to go home 1-2days a month and be paid for any work for sentences from 15days to 6months
16-18 Year old committing murder (or rape of a minor)The death penalty will be suspended for 2years.If there are signs of contrition and genuine improvements and they have been "reformed through labour",it is commuted to 15-20 years. If there is no improvement or further transgressions. The Supreme Court can confirm the death sentence.
Interesting the differences. Instead of sending them on an all expenses trip to South America, send them here.Could be a real money earner and solve their attitude problems for ever.

Today's Vote

Are Asbos really the best way to deal with yobbish behaviour?
Yes - you need some sort of deterrent that’s not jail
No - they are viewed as a medal when handed out
No - there is no evidence that behaviour improves
