Electronics site eyes extension
AN electronics research facility at Edinburgh University is set to be extended.
University bosses have submitted plans to the council which would see a temporary two-storey extension built at the Scottish Micro Electronics Centre at its King's Buildings campus.
The proposals would also see a temporary office built at the West Mains Road site – which is used for academic research as well as by hi-tech companies across the country – as well as extra rooms for researchers to work in.
