STUNT bikers wowed children with their tricks when they rode into their school playground.
The group of expert stuntmen and women – known as The Riderz – performed jumps, spins and balance skills for pupils at Towerbank Primary in Portobello.

Coinciding with Bike Week, the stunts were designed to get pupils excited about cycling and encourage them to cycle to school.

Rebecca Charles, from Cycling Scotland, said: "The kids were so excited by the stunts and it certainly made them see cycling as cool, which is what the aim was. At Towerbank, a lot of the kids cycle to school anyway but events like this inspire them even more."

Youngsters also had the chance to try out their own skills on a specially designed obstacle course in their playground, while a bike doctor showed how to carry out safety checks on their own bikes.
