THE city's annual Bike Week Film Festival gets under way tomorrow night.
Now in its fourth year, the festival will be showing a range of films from across the world which celebrate cycling.

The opening night will feature films focusing on the talents of Scottish cyclists Chris Hoy, Craig MacLean and Graeme Obree.

Among the cycling stars expected to attend the festival is Edinburgh's own round-the-world-cyclist Mark Beaumont. Organiser Maggie Wynn said: "The remarkable thing about all the films is that you don't need to be a cycling enthusiast to be thoroughly entertained and inspired.

"If you don't already possess a bike you'll soon wish you did – if only for the fun of it.

"There's no doubt that cycling, both as a spectator sport and an everyday activity, has reached a new high."

The events will take place in the Filmhouse on Lothian Road and the festival runs until Sunday.
