A STRONG contingent of Capital cyclists will line up in Sunday's Scottish ten-mile time trial championship, the first title to be decided on the road this season.
The event, which takes pace at Cambusbarron near Stirling, has attracted around 150 riders.

The men's event will be a poignant occasion, as the reigning champion, Jason MacIntyre, the victor for the last two seasons, was killed while training in January.

Among the challengers will be Mark Atkinson, a winner twice before and a former team-mate of MacIntyre at Edinburgh's Velo Ecosse team.

In the women's race, Jessica Wilson-Young (Edinburgh RC) starts as favourite, while Alistair McNicol (Velo Ecosse) should be in contention for the junior men's prize.
