Gymnastics: Holly thrives in Sweden and brings silver back home
The event at The Fyrishov Arena in Uppsala brought together youngsters from the host nation, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Sixteen-year-old Ramage attends Knox Academy and is a member of Lasswade GC. In the all-around competition she gave a very creditable performance finishing eighth.

Hide AdRamage’s score of 12.550 on floor also secured her place in the individual floor apparatus finals and in spite of a four hour wait between her warm-up and taking to the floor she gave a bold and artistic performance, scoring 13.150 to earn the silver medal behind Lizzie Beddoe of Wales.
Cara Kennedy (13) from Glasgow also won a bronze medal at the meet.
2014 women’s artistic Scotland national coach Rod Smith said: “We took a young and relatively inexperienced team to this competition and the fact that we came back with two medals was a significant achievement.”
