Police in Edinburgh are investigating after a man was stabbed in a city park.

Officers are treating the incident, which took place around 8.20pm on Monday evening, as attempted murder.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police in Edinburgh are investigating following an attempted murder in Lochend Public Park.

“The incident happened around 8.20pm on Monday, November 14.

“The 33-year-old male victim was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment where he is detained in a serious condition.

“Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
