A man is due to appear in court next week over an alleged chainsaw attack in a West Lothian town.
Police were called to the Rowan Place area of Blackburn on Wednesday night following the attempted murder of a 35-year-old man, who was taken by ambulance to St John’s Hospital in Livingston.
Residents also reported a heavy police presence in the area following the incident and pictures showed the street sealed off on Thursday.

Hide AdA statement released by police on Friday confirmed a 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with the attempted murder.
He is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, May 11th.
