Hearts to get Lee Wallace cash from Rangers
League officials are withholding £900,000 due to Rangers for finishing second in last season’s SPL after they entered administration in February. That will be used to settle outstanding football-related debts, and Hearts stand to be the main beneficiaries.
Wallace moved to Rangers last summer for a fee of £1.5million, £700,000 of which was paid up front. Another £500,000 is due to Hearts this month, with the remining £300,000 to be paid next year. Celtic and Dundee United are also due sums of £40,000 and £30,000 from Rangers.
