A yellow weather warning has been issued in Edinburgh and the Lothians as very strong winds are expected throughout the day.

As well as wind, there is rain expected all day with a band of heavy rain expected between 2pm and 4pm.

The Met Office warns that travellers can expect some disruption to road, rail and air travel with high-sides vehicle drivers asked to take care on bridges.

Currently the Forth Road Bridge is closed to double decker buses due to high winds affecting travel conditions.

The Yellow weather warning is in place until 5pm this afternoon.

Gusts of wind are expected to reach up to 62mph this morning.
