Edinburgh police seize over £7,000 worth of heroin and cocaine in multiple raids

Police in Edinburgh have seized more than £7,000 worth of heroin and cocaine during a series of raids in the city in recent days.

A tweet from the Edinburgh Police official twitter account said officers have recovered "a quantity of controlled drugs" and cash from several addresses.

A total of £5,000 of heroin was found along with £2,200 of cocaine.

Cannabis with a value of £680 was also seized as well as £181 of Diazepam.

A further £4,300 worth of cash was also recovered by police.

The tweet said: "Those involved have or will be charged for drugs related offences.”
